More information about political parties can be found on the Florida Division of Elections website. Florida is a closed primary state, which means that you must be registered with a political party to vote in that party's Primary Election. If you are registered as No Party Affiliation (NPA), only non-partisan races or issues included in the Primary Election will be on your ballot unless a Universal Primary Contest occurs. Please remember, your residential addresson file at our office determines the issues and candidates that will be on your ballot and your party affiliationdetermines which candidates will be on your ballot during Primary Elections. You may change your party affiliation at any time, but it must be done 29 days before a Primary Electionin order to be valid for that election.
CAN I PRINT MY VOTERS REGISTRATION CARD ONLINE UPDATE
To update your existing record on the form, simply check the "Record Update/Change" box. Conveniently, the update form is the same as a new registration form. You can update your information any time online, in person, or by completing a registration form and mailing it to any of our four offices.
However, you do need to keep your information up-to-date. Once you have registered to vote in Florida, you do not need to register again.
